YOOM™ recognized with the 3 stars Superior Taste Award.

The taste of YOOM™ has been recognized by the International Taste Institute in Brussels this week with the highest score of three stars, thus granting it the distinctive “Superior Taste Award”.

A recognition from a professional jury made up of more than 200 chefs and sommeliers from all over the world recognized by the Michelin Guide and Gault & Millau. The deliberation is done through a blind tasting and anonymously so that the process is carried out in a transparent way.

Stijn Roelandt, second chef at Hof Van Cleve, 3 Michelin stars, explains how he and his fellow jurors conduct evaluations for the International Taste Institute: “It is a strict process. Products are blind tested; This means that the samples are anonymous: we do not see the packaging and we do not know the brand or the name of the products; We don't even know what country it comes from. This forces us to be completely objective while doing sensory analysis. Only really good products are certified."

Thus, YOOM™ has obtained a 91,3 % valuation after being analyzed 5 aspects that are evaluated in the tasting. The professional jury rated the YOOM tomato:

● 91.3% as its overall score

● 93% for its pleasing and consistent visual aspect, due to its attractive, distinctive color

● 91% for its overall gustative impression

● 91% for its aroma which plays an essential role in its flavor perception

● 91% for its flavors which are a perfect sweet and sour balance for an umami taste

● 89% for its texture, which is a key hedonic factor in foods
