YOOM™ tomato jam recipe
Ingredients to make a very easy home-made tomato jam
- 1 kg of YOOM™ tomatoes
- White sugar. The quantity is half the weight of the tomatoes when peeled and de-pipped
- The juice of 1/2 lemon (around 40-50 ml)
Ingredients to make tomato jam without sugar
- 1 kg of tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 100 g of ground dates (optional) or 400 g of erythritol if you want a low-calorie sweet flavour

We blanch the tomatoes to be able to peel them easily. Remember that this process involves making a cross in each tomato and leaving them in boiling water for a few seconds. We pass them over to a recipient containing very cold water and then remove the skin and the seeds.
We lightly chop or dice the peeled tomatoes and place them in a saucepan, where we add the sugar and lemon juice.
We cook the tomato jam with sugar on a low-medium heat, stirring constantly until we obtain the desired consistency and texture. This process can take up to 1 hour.
The difference will be by adding the dates. We lightly chop or dice the peeled tomatoes and place them in a saucepan with the finely chopped dates and the lemon juice. The erythritol is cooked in the same way as the sugar.
